Sponsorship Requirements
We have developed a program for individuals who for one reason or another is not prepared to adopt a horse. This program enables the individual to get to know a horse at the rehabilitation center. This is a month to month program, if personalities don't mesh the sponsor can change their sponsorship to another horse in the rehabilitation center or completely terminate their sponsorship without any problems.
The sponsor fills out the adoption form on our website. This gives the rehabilitation center necessary information about the family wishing to sponsor a horse here at the center. The sponsor emails the form to the center. Upon receipt of the form the rehabilitation center evaluates the family to see which horse meets the needs of the family.
The sponsor is then notified of an available horse at the center. Preferences of the family is on the form.
An appointment is then set for the family to come to the center and meet the facility staff and the horse the facility has matched to the family.
Once the family has met and approved the horse for sponsorship the family then pays the monthly fee of $200 for the sponsorship and signed the necessary release forms.
That's it. Pretty much in a nutshell.
Available horses are on a first come basis. There is only one sponsor per horse here at the facility. This gives the family opportunity to get to know a horse one on one.
Sponsorship is like a lease except for the downsides of a lease the family has exclusive use of the horse they sponsor, yet, they don't have to worry about extra expenses like veterinary expenses, farrier expenses, worming, vaccinations, etc. The rehabilitation continues to take care of the horse 24 hours a day.
Call or join online. This is your chance to say, "I won't sit by while an animal suffers". Sponsorship enables the rehabilitation center to help more horses that are waiting, waiting for someone to care. Someone to make a difference.
Sponsors are welcome at the center during operating hours 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Sundays by appointment.
